Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense video game developed and originally published by PopCap Games for Microsoft Windows and OS X in May 2009. The game involves homeowners who use a variety of different plants to prevent an army of zombies from entering their houses and "eating their brains". The game received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, spawning several sequels and spin-offs. Plants vs. Zombies combines elements of strategy, tower defense, and humor to create a unique and addictive gaming experience.
